Kate Middleton Wears Princess Diana's Lover's Knot Tiara With Alexander McQueen Velvet Dress

Kate Middleton looked majestic at Queen Elizabeth’s Diplomatic Reception that was held Wednesday evening at Buckingham Palace. Dressed in a navy-blue-velvet, Alexander McQueen gown, Kate Middleton wore Princess Diana’s Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara on her head. At 37-years-old, Kate Middleton the mother of four is one of the most popular royals and many feel she is most similar to Princess Diana. Princess Kate and Prince William were photographed greeting the guests and were full of smiles as they circulated amongst the crowds.
As Kate made an incredible statement with Princess Diana’s tiara, she also wore one of Queen Elizabeth’s necklaces, the Nizam of Hyderabad, in addition to a gorgeous pair of diamond drop earrings. Kate Middleton Wears Princess Diana's Lover's Knot Tiara With Alexander McQueen Velvet Dress.
Kate pulled her hair back, away from her face and gathered it in a knot behind her head. The tiara took center stage and featured a row of stones. Princess Kate’s jewels were exquisite and people across social media platforms began talking about how gorgeous and regal Kate Middleton looked.
Kensington Royal stated the following.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace.
The reception, hosted by Her Majesty The Queen, was attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps based in London — who support the work of @theroyalfamily in representing the UK at home and abroad.
This work includes the hosting of State Visits and The Queen’s regular audiences with Ambassadors and High Commissioners.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry weren’t in attendance as they have taken a break from their royal duties. You may see multiple photos of Kate Middleton and the Royal Family in the photo slideshow below.
Kate Middleton is extremely fond of Alexander McQueen and she frequently wears the fashion house’s designs when attending special events. Many of Kate’s gowns are couture and not available for sale to the public, but there is no question that Kate Middleton has a strong influence on fashion choices.
What do you think about Kate Middleton and her navy-blue, Alexander McQueen velvet gown? Were you surprised to see her wear the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara that was formerly owned by Princess Diana?

MLB The Show, Plans On Supporting Other Platforms As Early As 2021, According To Press Releases

Earlier today, Sony announced that it entered into a new multi-year agreement with MLB to keep the licensing deals for the MLB The Show games. They also did reveal that the franchise will start looking to go multiplatform and ending its only PlayStation exclusivity to more consoles beginning as early as 2021.
The game has always been the only triple-A baseball game for years—most importantly, when 2k stopped its baseball series after 2013—and since then, each year’s installment has consistently been one of the best sports games of the year. But because of Sony being the major creator and publisher of the franchise, it has always been exclusive. Therefore, while Sony’s San Diego will still be the major developer of the series, it will now be compatible with other platforms. MLB The Show, Plans On Supporting Other Platforms As Early As 2021, According To Press Releases.
As stated earlier, this recent development of multiplatform was in a press release. According to the press release, ‘Also, the historic expansion of the long-standing partnerships will bring MLB The Show, for the first time since its inception, to additional console platforms, not just PlayStation platforms as early as 2021.’
This news would be interesting to hear for the MLB fans since PS4 is exclusively the place with an officially licensed baseball sim. For consoles in the past, there was always the MLB 2K series, but it always had lag issues with a downplayed quality before it was finally canceled.
Looking back, one can say it was a shame, especially when the 2K series was good but couldn’t meet up to standards when it came to MLB. Also, Microsoft has subscribed to the fact that its games can be on other platforms, and from the way it seems, Sony is starting to follow suit based on the recent news.
Furthermore, judging from the advancement of the next-gen consoles with powerful predecessors, this recent news that would take effect 2021, would make the MLB the best looking baseball game that has ever been developed. On that note, more players would subscribe to the MLB to enjoy the thrill.
However, it’s still far from being a reality, but when it does land, players on both PlayStation and Xbox will be ready. Some report also says Nintendo would also be part of this anticipated launch making it the best time to be a baseball fan.
Moreover, no one knows the exact consoles MLB The Show would come to, but Project Scarlett is likely going to be a possible candidate. Before, it was difficult for Sony to release its game to other platforms, but times are changing. Cross-platform games are probable to have massive success due to its broad reach. For instance, the majority of the success of Minecraft comes from Microsoft’s willingness to publish it on other platforms besides Xbox for years.

Finally, MLB The Show 20 is set to hit the screens on March 17. However, this particular one would still be a PlayStation exclusive.

Life Day Returns To Star Wars The Old Republic Along With Other Monthly Events

With December finally upon us, Star Wars the Old Republic releases information in their monthly events. And in addition to their normal cycle of monthly events, December brings in an event specific to this time of year; Life Day.
Life Day dates back to the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special, where it was a special event practiced by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk. The special is noted for having an extremely negative reception, but also for the introduction of fan-favorite Boba Fett. Life Day Returns To Star Wars The Old Republic Along With Other Monthly Events.
Star Wars the Old Republic made Life Day their own in ways not shown in the Holiday Special. While they do bring back the annual version of the red Life Day robes shown in the Holiday Special for players to purchase from the Cartel Market, the developers release a quest where there are overheating droids all over the galaxy, and players are to throw snowballs at them, which randomly give rewards for their efforts. Players can also throw snowballs at other players, though this practice is a divided thing; many players get into the mood of the season, while many do not.
Ever since Strongholds were introduced, the developers have released an assortment of Stronghold decorations that tie into the holiday. Over the years, players have gotten a tree with a bow on it, snow-covered items and an assortment of gifts.
Life Day itself begins on December 17th and ends on January 7th.
Of course, life day isn’t the only event in December. The Relics of the Gree is a level 50+ quest going from December 3rd to December 10th, and players are helping the ancient Gree race to uncover the mystery of the Gray Secant, an enormous ancient Gree Starship. Players will work toward getting Reputation with the Gree to gain access to Gree specific items from the Gree Vendors on Ilum.
The Rakghoul Resurgence returns to Corellia from December 17th to December 24th, so players will want to make sure they’re vaccinated if they plan on going to Corellia. One of the more divisive events, players are dealing with the effects of the Rakghoul Resurgence whether they participate or not, since infected NPCs will attack, and potentially infect, players upon leaving the spaceport. Players can also be infected by other players anywhere in the galaxy who choose to retain the infection and spread it around, making this plague something everyone has to worry about.
If players want to participate in this level 25+ event, they begin working for The Hyland Organization for Rakghoul Neutralization, or T.H.O.R.N., and head into the Rakghoul tunnels that are situated on the chosen planet and complete daily and weekly quests. What makes this event extra special is that it’s the only chance for players to recruit Doctor Lokin in KOTFE, since his recruitment requires a drop from this event.
Players will also be working toward Reputation for this event to allow them to purchase items from the Rakghoul Resurgence items.
December also marks Star Wars the Old Republic’s Eight Year Anniversary, which is being celebrated concurrently with Life Day. During this event, players can purchase a special “Anniversary Personnel” vendor who sells Class Ship Stronghold Decorations, as well as all the previous years’ rewards. Alongside this, both the Coruscant and Dromund Kaas Strongholds will be available for only eight credits each.
And finally, Bounty Contract Week returns during December 31, 2019, and lasts until January 7, 2020, As always, players at level 15 and higher pickup bounties from the bounty board and head out into the galaxy to capture or kill their target. This works players toward reputation and contracts to spend on gear.
December is a special time of year, and Star Wars the Old Republic goes all in for the players. Players won’t want to miss out on the celebrations.

BTE hearing aids: Benefits and drawbacks

Benefits: Behind-the-Ear hearing aids offer the most powerful sound amplification out of any style, making them suitable for all levels of hearing loss—particularly those with profound and/or high-frequency hearing loss.

Since all sensitive electronics rest in the case outside of the ear, BTE styles are less susceptible to moisture and wax—the two leading causes of hearing aid damage. Even when those pests are present, they can often be easily cleared out of the tubing with an air blower or washed from the earmold by detaching and soaking it in warm, soapy water. The result? Fewer repairs and longer lifespan.

BTE hearing aids’ traditionally larger size also makes them easier to insert/remove, adjust settings and replace the battery—a big benefit for those with dexterity concerns.

Drawbacks: Traditional BTE models—particularly those that offer maximum amplification—still tend to be bigger and thicker. Besides being more visible, the larger case may feel heavier or more uncomfortable for some wearers. And while ear domes are available for select BTE styles, many BTE hearing aids still require an ear mold, which are typically more noticeable and can lead to a more plugged-up feeling.

RIC hearing aids: Benefits and drawbacks

Benefits: Since the RIC’s case doesn’t need to house the speaker, it’s typically slimmer and smaller than most BTE models. RIC styles also boast a thin, electrical wire instead of an ear hook or tubing, which when combined with a small, translucent ear dome makes them barely visible to others.

Sounds tend to be clearer and more intact with RIC hearing aids, as the speaker rests closer to the ear canal. And distancing the speaker from the microphone minimizes another common complaint: feedback.

RIC hearing aids’ open and semi-open fit ear domes also allow low frequency sounds to escape, resulting in a more natural-sounding speaking voice.

Drawbacks: The smaller size of RIC hearing aids may make them more difficult to insert/remove, adjust settings and clean—especially for those with limited fine motor skills. And while it can accommodate a range of hearing loss levels, it does not offer as much amplification as the BTE. The placement of the speaker in the ear canal also makes it more vulnerable to moisture and wax buildup, thus requiring regular maintenance to minimize damage or sound issues.

Fashion (magazine)

Fashion is a Canadian fashion magazine published by St. Joseph Media. Established in 1977, it is currently based in Toronto (with satellite offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal), publishes 10 issues a year and has a total readership of 1.85 million (PMB Oct 2010).
The magazine covers international, national and local fashion and beauty trends and news. It aims to reach affluent, style-conscious urban women.
The magazine's first editor-in-chief was John MacKay, who had previously been responsible for Toronto Life's men's fashion supplements.
The current editor-in-chief is Bernadette Morra. Previous to joining Fashion, Morra spent 23 years at the Toronto Star, first as a fashion writer, then (since 1993) as a fashion editor. She left the Star in 2008 to be a freelance writer and launch a website for jewelry lovers. Bernadette has reported from the runways of Milan, London, Paris and New York, and interviewed many top fashion designers, models, and celebrities including Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Nicolas Ghesquière, Victoria Beckham and Linda Evangelista.
In 2009, FASHION launched its men's magazine Men's FASHION as a bi-annual special interest publication. In 2012, they added a Holiday issue, in addition to the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter editions. The current editor-in-chief is Canadian journalist David Livingstone.
St. Joseph Media, the magazine's publisher, also publishes Toronto Life, Canadian Family, Weddingbells, Quill & Quire and Where Canada magazines.

Website and digital brand expansion

FASHION's website was first launched in the summer of 2000.
In 2008, the brand made two significant efforts to expand its online presence. In March, FASHION announced a content partnership with MySpace Canada that included sharing behind-the-scenes news, videos and photo galleries. In April, the magazine announced a national "Reporter Search" in an effort to find 10 new style bloggers from across Canada who could write about fashion trends in their home communities. The eventual winners of the contest were given a year-long blog on the FASHION website and were also awarded other prizes.
In a 2008 interview, online editor Jennifer Campbell outlined the multi-pronged strategy that was bringing the site success, which included daily blogging, community outreach, slideshows, newsletters, and social media networking. At the time, the site received 100,000 visitors/month, and the most popular site sections were FASHION Lovelies (a weekly street fashion snap) and FASHION Reporters (the aforementioned blogs from the cross-Canada Reporter Search contest).
Video played a large role in Fashionmagazine.com's early online strategy. In October 2009, the site was recognized with the "Best Video" award in the first year of the Canadian Online Publishing Awards. The site was a finalist for the same "Best Video" award in 2010 and won the top prize in the "Cross-platform" category for an online men's style guide that contained online video.
Randi Bergman is the current online editor. She replaced Campbell in December 2010 after the latter left for a role with rival Canadian fashion publication Flare. Shortly thereafter, Paige Dzenis joined the team as an associate online editor.
In 2011, the site was a finalist for "Website of the Year" at both the Canadian National Magazine Awards and the Canadian Online Publishing Awards. That same year, the website was extensively redesigned by Randi Bergman, Paige Dzenis, Laura Antonik, Gary Campbell and Michelle Darwin. Subsequently, the website won two silver awards at the 2012 Canadian National Magazine Awards—one for best digital design and one for best multimedia feature for the "At The Shows/Spring 2012" package.
In August 2012, it was announced that FASHION had the largest Twitter following of any magazine in Canada, with 352,079 followers. This success was attributed to the brand being an early adopter of social media.
In August 2013, the brand launched an online shopping extension called "FASHION Shopping" featuring 1,500 clothing and accessory items selected by the editors that can be purchased online. The eCommerce store works on both desktops and smartphones.
